Financial Aid

The Faculty of Psychology at Chulalongkorn University, along with the Graduate School of Chulalongkorn University, has allocated funds to provide financial support for the education and research of Chulalongkorn University’s graduate students.

Merit-based scholarship

  • Continuous scholarship for undergraduate level + Master’s level education: this scholarship is for undergraduate students currently enrolled at the Faculty of Psychology at Chulalongkorn University who meet the following criteria. Applicants must have a) a cumulative GPA of 3.25 and above and b) a professor/lecturer in the graduate level program who has agreed to be the faculty mentor for the student’s Master’s level thesis. Third-year and fourth-year students are eligible to apply for this scholarship.

 

Scholarship for incoming first-year graduate students

  • H.M. the King Bhumibhol Adulyadej’s 72nd Birthday Anniversary Scholarship: This scholarship supports graduate-level education at Chulalongkorn University in honor of H.M. the King Bhumibhol Adulyadej’s 72nd Birthday Anniversary. This scholarship includes tuition fees, monthly stipends, and materials expenses for research. Incoming students with high academic achievement are eligible to apply.
  • R.H. Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn 60th Birthday Anniversary Scholarship: This scholarship supports graduate-level education at Chulalongkorn University in honor of H.R.H. Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s 60th Birthday Anniversary. This scholarship includes tuition fees, monthly allowance, and materials expenses for research. Incoming students with financial difficulty or learning disabilities are eligible to apply.
  • 60/40 Support for Tuition Fee: This scholarship supports tuition fees at a proportion of 60/40, consisting of funds from the Graduate School (60%) and the Faculty of Psychology (40%). Incoming Ph.D. and Master’s level students still in their first year of study are eligible to apply.

 

Scholarship for current graduate students

  • Teaching Assistantship: This scholarship supports graduate students who want to develop their academic experience by taking on teaching assistant duties such as conducting review sessions, teaching laboratory sessions, and grading undergraduate-level work with clear criteria for at least 10 hours per week. The salary is 7,000 baht per month for Master’s level students and 9,000 baht for Ph.D. level students for 9 continuous months. Stay tuned for more information from the academic affairs department in the Faculty of Psychology at Chulalongkorn University at the beginning of the academic year (July – August).

 

Scholarship for students with approved thesis proposal

  • Program fee waiver: Students eligible for this scholarship must a) have completed their coursework for the program, b) have already passed their thesis proposal examination, and c) no longer register for any other course. The scholarship recipient will pay only the tuition fee and have their program fee waived.
  • The 90th Anniversary of Chulalongkorn University Scholarship: This scholarship is for students who a) have passed their thesis proposal examination and b) have a thesis proposal that has high potential to be published in an international academic journal. Eligible students and their faculty mentors can jointly apply for this scholarship, which supports a monthly stipend, traveling costs for conducting research, and for presenting research at an international conference.
  • Scholarship for completing the thesis: This scholarship is for students who a) have already passed their thesis proposal examination and b) have a thesis proposal that has a high potential to be published in an academic journal. The scholarship supports conducting research for the thesis, such as material costs for conducting thesis research.
  • Scholarship for conducting research abroad: This scholarship is for Master’s level or Ph.D. level students who a) have already passed their thesis proposal examination and b) have a letter of confirmation from a professor at an international institution indicating research collaboration between the student and the professor. The scholarship duration is 3 – 12 months, for up to 300,000 baht. Eligible students can apply all year round.
  • Scholarship for presenting academic research abroad: This scholarship is for Master’s level or Ph.D. level students who have already passed their thesis proposal examination. The research to be presented must be part of the student’s thesis, along with a complete manuscript draft that is a) ready to be submitted, b) has been accepted for publication or c) has been published in an academic journal. The scholarship is for up to 60,000 baht for Ph.D. students and 40,000 baht for Master’s level students. Eligible students can apply all year round.

 

Scholarship for International students from ASEAN, Non-ASEAN countries.

  • ASEAN, Non-ASEAN scholarship: This scholarship is for Master’s level or Ph.D. level international students who wish to pursue their higher graduate studies at Chulalongkorn University. We offer financial support that includes round-trip economy class airfare, a monthly stipend of 16,000 baht, and tuition fees.
