Biography

Wirunphat Manitsorasak received her Ph.D. in Demography. Her doctoral dissertation originated from the question of whether LGBTQ+ individuals are associated with below-replacement fertility in contemporary societies. She collected online primary data to investigate marriage intentions and childbearing desires among LGBTQ+ subgroups. During her Ph.D. studies, she also worked on research projects examining non-standard employment and health among older persons, as well as on a project estimating the size of gender-diverse individuals and examining the life conditions and health of LGBTQ+ people, which involved field-based primary data collection from 2,466 households.
