Biography


Piyakrita Kruahiran received her Ph.D. in Social Psychology from the Faculty of Psychology, Chulalongkorn University, Thailand, through an Integrated Master’s–Ph.D. program. Her experience includes working as a Full-Time Lecturer in the Faculty of Criminology and Criminal Justice Administration, Rangsit University, and as a researcher in the Academic Network Development Department at Thailand Physical Activity Knowledge Development Centre (TPAK), where she collaborated internationally on global research related to physical activity to better understand behavioral issues in diverse populations. She later worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute for Population and Social Research, Mahidol University, where she focused on conducting research on health promotion and behavior modification in aging societies. Her research interests include understanding how attitudes and personality traits shape behavior. She applies this work to areas such as domestic / intimate partner violence and the promotion of physical activity.
